Cessna – Anabelle’s baby daughter!

When Anabelle got pregnant we set up a monitoring system to be ready to save newborns from her fury. We’d been sure she would never accept the kind of limitations and sense of duty and obligation that maternity brings. Even for a mother goat!

I experienced a lot of sleepless nights as her mother – Ana – regularly rejected daughters so I had to bottle feed two litters – Abla and Ahsoka, and now Bella and Blaze. Ana accepts only sons. And the girls depend on me. After these experiences I expected only a worse situation from her daughter, Anabelle, who weighs 100kg and is able to terrorize the village:) – can steal, crawl beneath fences and only four dogs can move her.

When I saw on the recording the labour had started I run to the stables and to my surprise I realised Anabelle had changed. She was overwhelmed by the beauty of her babies and accepted eagerly my help with them. Instead of protecting her babies against her I now must restrain myself from spending whole days in the stables watching Anabelle blooming with the power of maternity. She is so caring and resourceful as a mother that she makes my bigger surprise as a breeder! She feeds them all by herself and I can sleep at night.

and little Cessna is our wonderful surprise from Anabelle! the lovely Cow is staying with us!
